Pre-K Virtual Trip Around the World
By: Dr. Delana Smith, Ojibwe
Red Lake Nation
Red Lake, MN
Introduction
I will begin by showing the children a globe. Then explain that a globe is a small version of the world. I will show where we live on the globe. (Red Lake, MN: United States of America). Next, I will ask if they know or can think of any other places in the world. Then they will have the opportunity to point to it on the globe.
*Note: Google Earth is also a great source to show the world and find where we live on the Earth and show the places we will visit on this virtual tour.*
Passport
Each student will be given a passport. I will explain what a passport is and that we need these to travel to other countries. As we travel to a country, we will get a stamp for that country. This will be like if they really were to travel to the other countries.
